Who wants this 100 Dollar?

There is not a single man in the world who doesn't need money. Everyone needs money. Everyone loves it. We do whatever that is possible in the world to acquire money. People earn money by hard work, by their knowledge, by technical skills, artistic talents, by appearance, by spirituality, by fraud, by robbery, by killing people, by creating chaos and so on.

Money is so valued in life that we do not hesitate to earn it either by straight and crooked ways. When everyone is talking about money and the ways of earning it, I stumbled upon a blog in Tamil where an interesting and motivational article with a fantastic message in it. It attracted me so much that I am sharing the translation of it with you and believe me it is such a wonderful story that you will love and also would be motivational.

Who wants this 100 Dollar?

Once a great scholar was addressing a crowd of people. He took out a $ 100 bill out of his pocket and showed that to the crowd. Instantly everyone got interested. He asked,

“Who wants this 100 dollar?”

Almost everyone in the crowd raised their hands. He smiled and he crushed the note in his hand and again showed the note to the crowd and then asked,

“Who wants it now?”

Everyone raised their hands.

He then dropped it to the ground and with his leg again crushed it again. Now the 100 Dollar bill looked dirty and ugly. He lifted it and again asked the crowd,

“Who wants this 100 Dollar?”

All those gathered there raised their hands.

He then folded the note and placed it back in his pocket and said,

“Even after the 100 Dollar bill is crushed, made ugly and given an unpleasant look, you still want it. Because you know and believe that in spite of its loss in attractive looks, it still retains its value”

“It is just a paper but you have understood the value of it. But, we the human beings are the highest achievement in the process of evolution. Each and every individual is unique and possess talents and character that differ from others. Everyone has a brain which is the top most form of creation and every individual is valuable”

“We as individuals are so valuable that I would say that even the entire money in the world could not buy an individual’s brain or even the most advanced science could create a human or the Brain”

“Do we respect or understand the value of a human we clearly understand the value of Money?”

“No. We give respect to man based on his money making capability, social status and personal looks. Why this discrimination? Every human is valuable irrespective of his achievement or social standing. Do we understand this? If we do not, then it shows that we are still unable to grasp the value and importance of the nature and its greatest creation.”
